The Restoration: Edmund Burke
Edmund Burke (1729-1797) saw in the French Revolution the fatal danger of a totalitarian State that is able to destroy all the fragile bonds on which a free society bonds itself. He was a bright observer that could foresee in advance the revolutionary terror.
