1st World War, The "Great War" The whole neoliberal culture, the rationalist thrust, the democratic intellectuals and the revolutionary elite saw in the war the hour of the regeneration for humanity and of the renewal for Europe. In order to destroy what remained of its own past and to speed up the future, that would have been glorious, The Old Country fell into the «Great War» voluntarily and eagerly.
